Fox Valley Elevator, LLC is looking for a skilled individual to join our Manufacturing Leadership team. The individual will be asked to assume a leading role in our woodwork and electrical manufacturing departments of approximately 15 employees with a primary focus in employee development and retention. We are looking for a leader with in experience in manufacturing and a willingness to learn and grow.
Key Position Results
- No injuries and/or lost time incidents
- Safely meet and/or exceed production goals daily
- Timely completion of employee evaluations in partnership with manager
- Effectively utilize transformation tools and timely execution of initiatives
- Improved employee morale and reduction in first year turnover
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in a safe manner
- Ability to work in a team environment focusing on meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards
- Data collection & incident reporting
- Oversee new employee onboarding and employee training
- Complete audits and rapid experiments
- Process monitoring
- Update and maintain production control boards
- Conduct takt time and cycle time studies
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed
- Provide recognition, positive feedback and opportunities for improvement to employees
- Attend daily huddles
- Identify process and safety improvements and develop action plans for those improvements
- Report out on performance and attend Level Up meetings
- Ensure inventory accuracy
- Administer employee performance evaluations in partnership with manager
- Coach and develop employees
- Complete Job Instructions (JIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in partnership with manager
- Identify opportunities for cultural improvement and develop action plans for those improvements
- Participate in Lean Transformation efforts including 6S
- Active employee engagement
- Review and approve employee time records, vacation, and payroll
- Complete standard work
- Interview potential new employees
- Regular communications with Human Resources on staffing needs, performance/attendance concerns and/or disciplinary issues
- Assist others as needed
- Maintain a clean work area
- Complete paperwork as required
- Other duties as assigned by manager
- Perform all duties in the spirit of Our Philosophy and in accordance to legal, ethical and contractual practices

- Knowledge of safety protocol such a lock out tag out, confined space and haz-com

Other Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment drug tests and background check
- Must have at least two valid forms of identification upon hire
- Must have flexibility to work overtime hours daily including weekends as needed
- Minimum 2 years Leadership experience in manufacturing / production environment required
- Lean understanding (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
