DVDG needs to expand its medical assisting staff in our North Wilmington location. This is a full-time position (although, part-time would be acceptable, too) and is most suitable for someone with prior dermatology or other medical specialty experience -- or a college grad seeking clinical hours before applying to a graduate program in healthcare. If you do not have a bachelor's degree or prior specialty experience please do not apply.

With the exception of the earliest weeks of employment, our new hire will work four 10-hour days weekly. During the initial period of training, we will want you 9-5, Monday through Friday. After that you will begin working the four-day schedule. Medical Assistants in this practice scribe the chart note, so keyboarding skills are required. Our hours of operation shift up and down. Please refer to our website for the specifics of patient hours. Plan on being on the job 30 minutes before the start of patient hours and at least 30 minutes after the last patient.

Due to the rigors of the position, a newly certified MA cannot be considered. The ideal applicant will be calm, self-assured, a people-person, an earnest team-player and interested in furthering the well-being of both our patients and our practice.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer medical insurance at this time. However, after ninety-days of successful employment with us, you will be eligible for dental insurance, paid sick days, personal days and vacation time and reimbursement for the cost of your scrubs and shoes.
