FULL TIME OPTICIAN

We have a FULL TIME OPTICIAN opportunity available for interested candidates who are looking to pursue a career in the healthcare field. Previous experience in the field of customer service, high end retail, or healthcare can lead to a career as a Licensed Dispensing Optician. Nevada Eye Physicians is in the Las Vegas Medical District, Henderson, Boulder City, Mesquite, Pahrump Centennial and Las Vegas Southwest.

Our OPTICIANs are responsible for advising on, fit and supply the spectacle frames and lenses most appropriate for each patient's visual, lifestyle and vocational needs. This includes advising on and dispensing: frames and lenses for driving, occupational use, hobbies, and activities.

This is a TEAM role that will need your patience, high levels of communication and integrity

A successful candidate for an OPTICIAN has the following:

• A high school diploma, (some college is excellent!)
• A committed work history that shows longevity and growth
• Experience in a retail or medical optical setting.
• Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment (experience in optometry preferred)
• Proven Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients, technicians, physicians, and outside departmental staff
• Familiarly with computer software and the ability to learn new systems quickly (Electronic health record experience preferred)
• Able to remain focused and organized
• Able to stand with mobility for extended periods of time
• Ability obtain sufficient references and background check to perform the duties of the position.
• The Ability to register with the state of Washington in their apprenticeship program.
• The ability to work at different work locations during the day on occasion- clean DMV and/or transportation required.
• An interest in self education and career growth. This is not a job; it is a healthcare career.
