Job Summary
The Patient Care Coordinator-PSHC provides administrative assistance to audiology clinicians performing audiology testing, interpretation, tracking and monitoring of hearing aid sales and repairs, as well as scheduling appointments and confirming insurance authorizations.
Experience
- Required: Minimum one (1) year of experience.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Training
- Required: None required.
Specialized Skills
- Required: Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure and deadlines; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently.
- Preferred: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
Licensure
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS).
