SUMMARY
The Line Supervisor/Lead is responsible for overseeing the production line. Identifying and correcting all issues that arise during the production run, in a timely and efficient manner. Motivate and direct associates throughout production run.
Hiring for 2nd shift Monday-Friday
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Work on the line in a position where all other line associates may be monitored/directed
- Train associates to be proficient in multiple positions.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings with all associates.
- Track labor in RedZone and input information in COGS when work order is complete.
- Rotate associates for cross-training throughout the shift.
- Ensure products are built properly per customer standards.
- Communicate with supporting departments and Line Runners before any product change-over and in order to decant enough components to complete run.
- Notify QA of any non-conforming product and complete the Non-Conformance Form, if needed.
- Notify QA if any foreign objects are found on the components during the production run.
- Check and verify the correct labels are being used for each build. Sign the associated Form before run.
- Help complete Incident Reports as needed.
- Communicate any issues regarding machines with facilities.
- Identify production issues – resolve or escalate as needed.
- Ensure staffing levels and throughput levels are achieved/ maintained.
- Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) by all associates.
- Communicate any issues to supervisor and next shift, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
· Associate or Bachelor degree in Business or related field to management and/or production.
Preferred but not required at least six months of related experience and/or training are required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
· Good knowledge of the components and the product line.
· Good knowledge of product specifications, pallet configuration and product placements.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime, as necessary.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook and Excel specifically) is required.

The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to extreme cold (non weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
REQUIRED TRAINING
This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Training is also required
on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.

Salary Range: $20.00-$25.00
