Adult Ministries Program Coordinator

Mission Statement: Calling the Christian-ish to Become Passionate Servants of Jesus Christ

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries, the Adult Ministries Program Coordinator will help strengthen the adult ministries at St. Andrew by contributing to the strategic implementation of programs and events within Adult Ministries. This role serves as a congregational-facing presence and host for Adult Ministry events and is a partner in ministry helping to fulfill the mission and vision of St. Andrew Methodist Church.

Essential Functions

Growing Adult Ministry Communities

  • Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) and liaison to the lay people within the adult ministries’ communities including but not limited to: The Circle, The Forge, The Table, and other Communities as developed
  • Requires a congregational-facing presence and attendance at events, group gatherings, and lay-leadership meetingsSchedule quarterly and annual check-in meetings with lay leaders, as well as surveys and other means of measuring the health of Adult Ministry programs and offerings.

New Adult Ministry Initiatives

  • Work with Pastor of Adult Ministries to
  • identify new ministry initiatives within Adult Ministries based on the felt and actual needs of the congregation.
  • ideate and strategize regarding the necessary incubation, launching, and sustaining of new initiatives.
  • develop program content, program layout, and program events of new ministry initiatives.
  • Provide direction to Adult Ministry support staff on promotional efforts and materials needed for new initiatives

Adult Ministry Events

  • Initial planner and contact for events, both on and off campus
  • Work with lay persons and leaders involved in each event
  • Assist with staging/set-up for events
  • Find church members/contacts to identify potential speakers and contact potential speakers for availability
  • Partner with the St. Andrew internal Events team to ideate and implement “signature” Adult Ministry events
  • Initial planner for internal staff events hosted by Adult Ministries (ex: staff lunches)
  • Provide direction to Adults support staff on promotional efforts and materials needed for events
  • Provide direction to Adults support staff to create general event support: event registrations, QR codes, check-in materials, etc.
  • Provide direction to Adults support staff to research venues for off-campus events

Communications

  • Email: Create, distribute, and receive emails with congregation members
  • Content: Work with Adults team to select/provide adult ministries content to highlight for the monthly “brochure”, “This Week” email, social media post needs, or other content from the Adult Ministries to be shared.
  • Realm: Ability to generate reports
  • Square: use the payment methods for events with monetary collection, be present at the events with the proper technology and training

Technological Competencies

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Realm and Facility Scheduler (experience and knowledge helpful, but not necessary)
  • Ability to use web-based registration programs (Jotform, SignUp Genius, GroupMe)

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is an exempt full-time position at 36.5 hours per week. This position may require longer hours of work on days with events and evening meetings; other workdays during the week to be determined, with flexibility concerning Adult Ministry events.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associates degree or higher

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
