Lawo designs, manufactures and sells cutting-edge networked video, audio and control systems for television and radio production as well as live performance applications all over the world.
To strengthen our team in North America, we have an immediate opening for a:
Project Engineer - Audio Production (m/f/x)
RESPONSIBILITIES- Main objective: Deliver system solutions that span the globe, enabling the live broadcast of major (sports) events at a high-quality level, leading to business growth, profitability and customer success.
- Configuration and programming
- Executing factory pre-delivery testing
- Commissioning on site (travel approx. 50%)
- Working closely with other Lawo teams, inside and outside of the professional services group
- Documentation (both for the customer and to enable other Lawo team members to provide support)
- Resolution of technical problems (remote/on site)
- Operational and technical training for operators and engineers
- Perform System Updates and Health checks remotely and in the field.
- Support Project Manager in creation / Create support handover documentation
- Temporarily take over blueprint- testing and evaluation roles under the guidance of the system engineering team.
- Education in broadcast, audio, electrical engineering, or related field is required
- Network/IT knowledge, scripting experience, and knowledge of SMPTE 2110 / 2022 / AES67 IP solutions, Linux, Docker
- Experience in the broadcast environment, on-air broadcast operations, workflows, IP-projects
- Expertise in operational workflows (Outside Broadcast, Live Production, Content Creation, …)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, engaging and professional way of interacting with customers
- Readiness for domestic and international travel (up to 50%) and ability to work alone with little or no supervision
