Merakey is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Virginia Beach, VA.



The PMHNP is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive mental health care to patients living with chronic mental illness. The PMHNP will work in collaboration with our psychiatrist and registered nurses to diagnose and manage patients' mental health concerns. The PMHNP will provide services in the community and will ride along with another staff member to provide these services.


Schedule: 8 hours per week

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (CRNP), PMHNP

  • Active, unrestricted Virginia license

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines, including clinical and clerical staff

  • Expert assessment, diagnostic, and psychopharmacological treatment skills

  • Valid Virginia driver’s license and appropriate state and federal clearances
