Clinic and Surgical Center Nurse, Cosmetic Surgery, RN, BSN 2+ Yrs Ex
Esprit Cosmetic Surgeons and the Meridian Center for Surgical Excellence comprise a premier plastic surgery center in Portland. We are recruiting a patient-focused clinical professional with experience in clinic and surgical procedures settings.

Candidates must possess the ability to provide concierge-level service to all patients from the first phone call, through consultation and surgery, and continuing with the patient’s long-term aesthetic needs.

This is a full-time, hourly position Monday – Friday with flexibility as needed. Compensation commensurate with experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Rooming patients, taking vitals, charting medical history
· Seeing all post-op patients with the treating doctor and writing all progress notes
· Taking clinical photos
· Assist with new patient consultations and pre-operative assessments
· Patient education, including completing consent documents with patients
· Perform pre-operative phone calls
· Maintaining records in electronic medical record (EMR) system
· Suture removal
· Dressing changes/wound care
· Set-up and assist with minor surgical procedures (i.e. implant deflation)
· Assist with exams and procedures
· Admit, circulate, and recover surgical patients
· Start IVs and administer IV medications
· Pre-operative charting, patient and family teaching
· Assist with post-operative surgery patients
· Counsel patients about our products, procedures, treatments, and surgeries
· Answer patient questions and ease patient concerns in person, by phone and email
· Place pre-operative phone calls, schedule pre-op and post-op visits in the office and by phone, and triage patient phone calls
· Be a "face" of the practice to all patients; with highly professional, patient-centric care
· Office and medical supply inventory control, ordering, stocking and other responsibilities as needed
Required Skills and Abilities
· Must have a warm, outgoing, collegial personality with excellent interpersonal skills, and strong communication skills
· Ability to genuinely empathize and connect with patients on a personal level
· Willingness to learn and adopt Esprit’s clinical procedures and to learn and follow detailed scripts in talking with patients by phone and in-person
· Ability to effectively communicate with new and existing patients using email and text messaging
· Ability to deal with patient complaints with an empathetic, solution-based approach
· Must be a detail-orientated, reliable, and a motivated individual that can multi-task between our clinic and surgery center
· Strong organization skills and ability to work both independently and be a TEAM PLAYER
· Strong clinical skills, including IV insertions, dressing changes, and patient assessments
· Understanding that the roles and responsibilites of this position may change and evolve as the practice needs require.
Required Experience and Education
· RN, BSN or equivalent certification with exceptional skills and track-record in clinical and surgical settings
· Strong computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Preferred Experience
Outpatient surgery, care of surgical patients, cosmetic surgery and/or dermatology
