Position Title: Reliability Engineer - Mechanical
The Job You Will Perform:
The Mechanical Reliability Engineer at International Paper’s Riegelwood Mill will be responsible for providing assistance in problem solving process reliability issues. The individual will support the reliability team and operations in the development of reliability standards and practices.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Manage asset criticalities, equipment care strategies, and maintenance policies to ensure failure prevention
- Monitor process variability reduction and equipment reliability improvements
- Lead small capital reliability improvement projects from start to finishEnsure projects are compliant with all environmental and safety requirements
- Monitor effectiveness or predictive and preventative maintenance programs
- Provide mechanical design support to the project engineering team
- Support the planning effort for annual shutdown to include: Complex job planning
Job coordination
Resource planning
Financial management
- Identify and develop opportunities for improvement and optimization based on failure analysis outcomes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of two (2) years mechanical engineering experience
- Five (5)+ years preferred
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with AutoCAD and all Microsoft Office applications
- Pulp/Paper mill experience is preferred
