Student Attendance LiaisonThe role of the Student Attendance Liaison is to organize, coordinate, and implement attendance tracking for all student attendance issues. The recommended changes to Attendance processes will emphasize effective monitoring and timely intervention. This responsibility will not be placed onto teachers, rather the Attendance Liaison will track student attendance daily and will notify and implement consequences upon students who are found in violation of either the attendance or tardy policies as recommended by the Attendance Steering Committee. This shift will result in improved attendance rates for the school while ensuring students are present in classes on a more consistent basis to enhance learning.

This person will enhance communication with parents to inform them of pending actions due to violations of the attendance policy. Attendance policy will be applied in a consistent and timely manner for all students. In-School Suspension MonitorThe role of the Student In-School Suspension Monitor will fundamentally allow for the school administration and counseling team to address behavioral issues with internal resources, focusing on restorative 'whole-student' approaches to behavior modification. The elimination or major reduction of out-of-school suspensions, unless in severe cases of injury, will also improve a student's opportunity to maintain a continuum of learning while serving discipline consequences.

Often times students are seeking out-of-school suspension as a mechanism to avoid responsibility and work. Also, keeping students on campus will aid in the coordination with school counselors to provide wrap-around services for behavior, social-emotional, and physical issues contributing to behavior issues. The Student In-School Suspension Monitor will work closely with Administration and Counselors to ensure conditions of behavior plans are completed including restorative counseling, detentions associated with attendance, and in-school-suspension. Learning Lab CoordinatorThe role of the Student Learning Lab Coordinator will assist school counselors to support flexible scheduling to aid and support unique learning situations.

Students that need mid-term changes due to school transitions will be able to take an online course in a predetermined number of seats in the Learning Lab. The lab will also serve as a testing center for students who missed in-class tests due to absence. Tests will be proctored in a secured learning environment.
