Overview:
Assist Senior Category Manager in the management of category sales plan across zones that is consistent with the overall Merchandise strategy and fit into the total store perspective.
Responsibilities:

Manage and communicate zone level sales plans in concert with overall category sales plans.

Complete entry for regional or zone level in sales planning tool, including de-averaged costs or retail and new or expanded items and/or offers.

Ensure regional Point of Purchase (POP) needs are itemized correctly in monthly sales plan, proofread monthly solicitation for accuracy and make recommendations as necessary to support development of regional Point of Purchase (POP) item forecasts.

Support Product Director and Senior Category Manager on day-to-day activities that include regional pricing strategies, Supply Chain Management and Vendor or Supplier Relationships.

Provide forecasting information (coordinated with Operations) for all key focus items and/or offers.

Ensure proper information provided for regional suppliers including product costs, bill-back, allowances, discounts, Lowest Distribution Units (LDUs), routing information, new item set up details and new vendor set up details.

Market Area current situation development and identify opportunities.

Understand marketplace and variations from national Category Current Situation Analysis (CSA) and understand Zone Level Current Situation Analysis (CSA) impacts from Zone Merchandise Leader (ZML).

Identify localizes, zone assortment or improvement opportunities to grow the business and collaborate with Senor Category Manager and Sr. Product Director to incorporate into future plans.

Develop and manage regional plan-o-grams for assigned area to best meet customer needs and maximize category productivity through collaboration with the Senior Category Manager and/or Category Manager and Visual Merchandise planning team.

Track all key sales metrics (sales, group, unit and margin) for areas supported. Analyze and share insights with Senior Category Manager, Product Director and other Operations leadership to drive improved results and enhance understanding of the business.

Develop and oversee regional in-store testing of potential new products, concepts and promotional activity. Optimize display management opportunities within assigned category and assigned zones.

Support testing activity in assigned zone to include Senior Category Manager driven (national) testing, including preparation and/or delivering communication materials, tracking of results or feedback to Test areas and stores, verification in stores of Franchise feedback.

Respond to Operational issues regarding execution of products and programs at store level.

Work with vendors to resolve store level issues in a timely manner.

Provide coaching and guidance to stores on effective execution and selling techniques for assigned products and programs.

Communicate integrated sales plans (national or zone) and ensure comprehensive delivery of necessary facts, data and SOP.
- Education: Bachelors or Equivalent 4 Year Degree
- Experience: 1-3 years including negotiating experience.
- Strong analytical and effective communication skills.
