Job description
RailPros provides comprehensive consulting services for the rail industry. We specialize in areas of RWIC/railroad flagging, project management, observation and inspection, real estate, rail design and engineering, training, and media production. We are seeking a Systems & Security Administrator to join our growing team in Las Colinas, TX.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the existing environment, researching, and implementing new features and providing support for issues escalated from the helpdesk. The candidates time will be split between systems administration and security focused tasks and will be expected to earn security related certifications within their first year of employment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Act as a subject matter expert in general support and security related IT items- Review and research security related incidents and produces documentation to advise the organization of potential solutions
- Monitor and maintain existing security systems to control access to systems and propose changes where needed.
- Support redundancy strategies, security, and backup
- Maintains all company infrastructure on a day to day basis and performs all changes in an ITIL compliant manner
- Act under direction of the IT Infrastructure Manager to complete project related tasks
- Work with other business units to understand, document, and review processes
- Research and deploy tools that aid other members of the IT team or improve operational security
- Perform advanced level troubleshooting and root cause analyses of trouble items
- Continually assist in the development of operating system deployment, imaging, application, analysis, creation, testing or modification of computer systems or programs
- Create powershell scripts to simplify the management of systems and ensure consistency
- Evaluate hardware and software and advise
- Provide after hours support on an on-call basis
- Performs various other tasks as assigned by the Information Technology Management team
Minimum Required Qualifications:
5 + Years supporting Windows desktop and laptop computers in a corporate environment- 3+ Years supporting Windows Server environments and associated tools such as group policy, active directory, and DFS
- 3+ Years experience supporting Office 365 services and Azure Active Directory
- 3+ Years experience supporting Group Policy
- 3+ Years experience managing, maintaining network switches routers and firewalls
- 3+ Years experience with PowerShell scripting
- 3+ Years experience of Administration of Microsoft Teams
- Intermedia Knowledge of Computer networks and Security
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be flexible, proactive, responsive, and able to work independently
- 1-2 years experience working in an ITIL compliant helpdesk
- Experience supporting environments with 300+ employees
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Enterprise Mobility Management systems administration (InTune / Airwatch / MobileIron)
- Experience performing basic administration of vmware ESXi / vSphere or other virtualization platforms
- Experience with Wireshark / PCAP software
- Experience with Cisco iOS based Switches or Meraki devices
