Variety Wholesalers is seeking a Treasury Manager to join its Finance and Accounting team based in Henderson, North Carolina location. The Treasury Manager role will be primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily cash processing, cash accounting and related account reconciliations for the company’s 400+ retail stores and corporate bank accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily cash processing and cash reporting activities

• Oversee preparation and entry of cash journal entries

• Prepare and review bank account reconciliations

• Ensure new store bank accounts and payment-processing profiles are setup accurately and timely

• Manage the decommission of closed store bank accounts

• Ensure store cash is appropriately safeguarded and deposited in a timely manner

• Manage the daily reconciliation of receivables; report collection issues

• Lead the ongoing implementation of banking transformation projects

• Implement improvements to daily cash receipt, settlement and audit processes

• Contribute to accurate and timely period end close processes

• Prepare periodic metric reports

• Hire, train and lead team members

• Identify and implement process improvement and cost savings opportunities

• Assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• CTP or CPA preferred

• 5+ years’ experience working in treasury operations of a multi-site organization

• Retail, manufacturing or logistics industry

Experience preferred Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organization, planning and prioritization skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to analyze and manipulate data and resolve problems

• Strong computer skills including advanced Microsoft Office skills
