FULL -TIME POSITION. No Experience Required.

We are looking for a motivated worker, to join our company as a Welder Helper and Shop Worker that can do various duties in different departments. We are a miscellaneous metal contractor for residential construction projects that fabricates and installs wrought iron and aluminum: stair & balcony railings, pedestrian & driveway gates, spiral and floating stairs, decorative louvers, etc.

As part of our team, Welder helpers perform various functions in support of welding works, experience is preferred but we are willing to train and are looking for an ideal candidate.

Welder Helper Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist lead welders in performing welding, brazing, thermal, and arc cutting operations
• Use hoists, wrenches, and hammers to lift, move, and clamp work materials into position or onto tables
• Oversee the scheduled maintenance of welding and fitting equipment to ensure they are operational
• Transport workpieces to construction sites by manual means or using handtruck
• Use grinders and scrapers to remove rough spots and marks from work pieces to ensure smooth surface
• Clean workpieces using chemical solutions to remove impurities such as slag, rust, and grease
• Activate electric generators for welding by starting gasoline engine
• Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment for efficient work operations
• Wear appropriate protective clothing in compliance with safety protocols
• No Experience Required but Preferred
• Salary dependent upon experience/training level
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude and conduct her/himself with integrity and in a polite, professional manner, treating customers and co-workers courteously and respectfully
