Director of Business Development

The Director of Business Development reports directly to the President and has the overall responsibility of business development. Responsibilities include marketing, public relations, advertising, and corporate imaging, and overall corporate growth strategy. The responsibilities of the Director of Business Development are summarized as follows:

  • Working closely with President to establish and implement strategic business development plan.
  • Lead the development of new business proposals and presentations, providing strategic client information gathered during research and market analysis.
  • Maintain and expand client network utilizing CRM so as to develop it into a tool for successful sales and sales funnel tracking.
  • Utilize existing clients and project types to expand existing market share.
  • Lead the development and research of an expanded business development plan for new markets.
  • Represent Knoebel at designated professional conferences and industry events.
  • Collaborate with President and marketing vendor to ensure consistent branding.
  • Manage public and media relations as needed.
  • Maintain and expand social media presence with weekly LinkedIn, Twitter updates.
  • Develop a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
  • Expand overall awareness of Knoebel within target industries.
  • Perform research and market analysis on existing and new markets/potential clients within each market segment in an effort to secure opportunities for new work.
  • Manage and assist client retention through follow-up and periodic client contact.
  • Create and administer client satisfaction survey upon completion. Monitor and share results with project team.
  • Oversee and monitor Business Development budget.
  • Evaluate Knoebel's short and long-term goals and present quarterly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Chesterfield, MO 63005: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Business development: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Construction: 3 years (Preferred)
