A great client of ours in the Cheektowaga, NY area has an urgent need for an Industrial Electrician to join their team. This Industrial Electrician is responsible for providing corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance to all production and support equipment under limited supervision. Here are some important details:

Position Title: Industrial Electrician

Position Type: Full-time/Direct Hire

Shift: FIRST SHIFT!!

Pay: Up to $28/hour. Client may be willing to pay more for top notch candidates who can demonstrate extensive expertise in industrial maintenance, electricity and large equipment repair!

Essential duties for this Industrial Electrician include:

• Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems up to 480V
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to insure equipment performance is at maximum.
• Install safety light curtains and repair
• Develop repair procedures and monitor as needed.
• Actively participate in identifying equipment/process improvements.
• Actively participate in plant safety program.
• Communicate equipment and process changes with Production.
• Actively investigate problems with equipment, and/or processes

Here is the background profile we're actively looking for:

• Industrial Electrician with AT LEAST 5 years of experience in equipment troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and modifications preferred
• Experience with metal stamping presses, servo drives, large industrial equipment a plus
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC drives
• Ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals and engineering specifications
