Job description

Millwork finisher is responsible for ensuring quality of finish is completed through the finishing process. To ensure success as a wood finisher, you should have advanced woodworking skills, good knowledge of finishing techniques, and a good eye for detail.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Additional duties may be assigned):

• Following the best practices for safety and quality.
• Mixing conversion varnish, paints, & stains.
• Sanding product
• Spraying products
• Load & unload spray machines
• Clean and maintain finishing room area and equipment

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Education and Experience:

• One to three years’ experience in manufacturing, millwork, cabinet making, or painting.

Equipment, Machines and Software Used:

Spray equipment, spray machines & computer.

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed usually in a typical manufacturing environment where there may be substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

• Safety glasses are required to be worn when in the warehouse and factory.
• Occasionally, required to work in a room with construction dust that can result in sneezing and allergic symptoms.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to maintain high standards of professional manner and personal appearance.
• Knowledge of how to handle materials safely.
• Mix colors to create finish colors.
• Ability to work with a team. Physical and Mental Requirements:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
