A fast-growing private pediatric speech therapy practice is seeking a driven and personable Patient Care Coordinator for our clinic in Hawks Prairie. Primary job duties will include initiating contact with patients and families to schedule initial assessments and therapy appointments, re-schedule appointments, and maintain a high level of scheduled productivity for multiple providers. This position works collaboratively with therapists and administrative staff to ensure patients needs are met. Must be able to thrive working in a fast paced environment, where noise is present. Previous experience in, front desk administration, doctor/dental office, and customer service is HIGHLY preferred. Candidates with experience working with children and/or disabilities preferred.
The current scheduled hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 12:30 Pm -6 pm (22 hours/week) with growth in the future.

Primary job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicate with families via phone, text, and email
  • Utilize online EMR software to manage weekly schedules for 8+ providers
  • Greet patients and answer questions and check-in and check-out
  • Perform light cleaning tasks in lobby and treatment areas, as well as other administrative duties as needed
  • Check insurance for benefit coverages as well as relay this information to families.
  • Send and receive documents from other professionals in the community to maintain current patient charts
  • Organizing and filing patient records

Because we are an outpatient healthcare facility, staff and patients are required to wear masks while in the building.
